Family Guy vs The Simpson

by Staff Writer

How did my day go you question me? Oh, it was just dandy, played a game of monopoly and with my luck, I lost to my little brother (who is by the way getting incredibly good at buying houses and counting money), went for a swim at the complex near my house and I even played tennis. I came home to see what was on tv and, what coincidence, it was the Simpsons ! Usually I don’t pay attention to whats on tv while I’m on the Internet, but today struck me oddly. I noticed how similar the Simpsons were to Family Guy, one son, one daughter, one dog, and the husband and wife, dont forget the little baby. So, with my searching skills, (thanks google actually) I dug up this video that compared the Simpsons to Family Guy. I’d never believe what a similar story line each run. check it out.

Was I right? I believe I was, but I’m sure there are many other cartoon comedies that compare to Family Guy and the Simpsons, such as Futurama or even King of the Hill.
I dug up some more information and found out that Family Guy was actually created in 1999, and banned in 2000 and 2002. This could very well mean that Seth McFarlane could’ve “borrowed” ideas from the Simpsons.
