Wikipedia has a great list of all the Family Guy-isms created on the show.
Like Giggity or Hic-a-doo-la.
If you’ve ever wanted to know your fill of completely useless Family Guy trivia head on over to Wikipedia Family Guy’s page and check it out. It’s got everything!
The list of -isms is pretty interesting though. I didn’t remember half of them and then I read about them. Where and when they were created, and by whom. It’s all very interesting. Check it out.
It’s that time of year to make your lists of what you want for Christmas. Personally I’m going to make my list of what I want from Family Guy.
1. More “Road to…? stories featuring Brian and Stewie traveling around the world together. I know that there is an episode coming up called “Road to Rupert? which is said to be Stewie’s journey to find Rupert after he’s sold at a garage sale. This is a great start. But, a few more “Road to…? episodes are needed. Let’s face it, Family Guy is really the “Stewie and Brian? show anyway. So, why not let them shine.
2. Kill off Meg. That’s right you heard me. She’s been pretty non-existent this season, and killing her off would be a great idea. It could lead to all kinds of spoofs. Killing off a major character that isn’t really “major.? The upcoming episode “Barely Legal? is a Meg-centric episode, but the ones that center around her usually fall a bit flat. Like when The Simpsons try to run an entire episode centering around Lisa.
3. Number three has to do with killing also. One of my favorite parts of this new season was when Stewie whacked the Vaudeville Guys, and said “That’s it they’re dead. We’re not gonna be seeing them again.? I want more of that. Characters that could be killed for good are: The Kool-aid Man, The Giant Chicken, and Randy Newman. Now that’s not to say I hate these characters, I just think that they could have some great exits. Imagine another bloody battle between Peter and The Giant Chicken, but this time Stewie pops in and caps him like he did the Vaudeville Guys, that would be classic.
4. No more retarted Peter. Peter has the potential to be hilarious, but the current trend of him being extremely stupid is starting to get a bit old. It’s a fine line. He can be a moron, just no as childish as they are making him out to be.
So there you have it, my wish list for this season of Family Guy.
Does anyone else have any wishes that they’d like to add? Tell us in the comments.
In the holiday spirit heres one of my favorite clips of Peter.
I’ve been waiting for this video to hit YouTube for a while now.
It’s an instructional video that can be found on Vol. 4 of the Family Guy DVD’s. It’s how Peter Shin draws Stewie.
I think it’s pretty amazing to watch animators of any sort. How they take a blank page and make it into a cartoon in no time.
Check out the video, it’s pretty stinking cool.
Have you ever wondered how Stewie got his football shaped head?
No new Family Guy until next week.
According to TV.com the episode “Barely Legal” will air December 17th. Here’s the episode summary:
Meg can’t find a date to her junior prom, and even though he is dating Jillian, Brian ends up going with Meg. At the prom, Brian gets drunk to make the night pass, but ends up making out with Meg. Meg begins to think of Brian as her boyfriend and becomes obsessed with spending every moment with him. Meanwhile, Peter, Cleveland and Quagmire join the police force to help Brian.
Muhammad over at TVbloggin.com doesn’t agree with me on anything, I swear.
First he picked on another show that I cover, Prison Break, and now he’s going after Family Guy. Using the clip from South Park of Manatees pushing balls together as his source.
Let me say that the clip, that can be seen below, is hilarious. Everything needs to be satirized, and South Park does a great job of doing that to everyone and everything.
I like both shows. Yes I know, that seems almost impossible in this war of adult cartoons, but I do. But, I do think that both shows are so wildly different that they really can’t be compared.
Just like South Park, Family Guy also has some less-than-stellar episodes, of which I have written about a few weeks ago. No show is without it’s flaws. But, Family Guy is a clever show in its own right.
So, here’s to Family Guy and South Park.
May public satire live on!
Family Guy is up for a People’s Choice Award in the Best Animated Comedy category.
The opponents are: King of the Hill & The Simpsons.
I can’t STAND King of the Hill, but that’s another post for another time.

Thanks to reader, and People’s Choice promoter Travis for the heads up.

When not watching Family Guy, blogging about Family Guy or talking about Family Guy until he gets blue in the face, George Gonzalez, is in fact, a Family Guy. Happily trotting through life (with sometimes his own theme song playing in the background) with his two cats, wife, and almost two year old son, George makes an ass of himself to the amusement of his friends and family on a daily basis. So keep on reading on and see if you can separate this Family Guy from the Family Guy!
